Yesterday I decorated one dozen cupcakes (Your Basic Chocolate Cupcake from Vegan Cupcakes Take Over the World), with mint buttercream icing and marzipan decorations (with a little licorice and chocolate icing). Yes, I realise that the German flag is supposed to be black, red and gold, and clearly I crossed the line between gold and orange. As you can see from the half-arsed footballs, I'm still a novice, and those powdered colours are tricky — the red in particular is a potent son-of-a-bitch!
Anyway, they lost to Spain, 1:0. In spite of my baking efforts and getting up early this morning to watch.
