Worldwide Vegan Bake Sale

There's not much I can add to what Mandee already said about this... Yesterday's Sydney chapter of the first Worldwide Vegan Bake Sale was, it's fair to say, a huge success. It was certainly fun to be part of, and a pleasure to witness the hordes of vegan Sydneysiders descending on the stall. The takings of $908.70 (!!!) will be going to the very deserving World Society for the Protection of Animals.

Calm before the storm (thankfully, not a literal storm!)

The full spread (at this stage, at least — more arrived throughout the day, and I forgot to take any photos after about 10:00 in the morning!)

The baked goods look delicious! And I'm glad you did so well - proof there is a market for vegan baked goods (now if only the random shops would take notice!).

*pretends to pout about coming late* you guyyyyys!!!! the raw tahini thingie was delicious and reminded me of something from my childhood though i dont know what but seeing that there was MUCH MORE than just the three things that were left by the time i got down from the mountains makes me wish i'd bugged alex a bit more.
alex who says "why go to a vegan bake sale when you can just vegan bake?". bah! good job, congrats on selling everything and making a great amount for WSPA. maybe next year a donatino could be made for a more local organisation!
